George Finlayson

As an expert golf coach, specialising in coaching the golf stars of the future George has developed a unique approach to coaching youngsters at St Andrews. At SALJGA (St Andrews Junior Golf Association) over 400 children play and learn the skills of the game at St Andrews, "the home of golf". George and colleague Graeme McDowall are responsible for writing and developing a unique Junior Golf Programme at St Andrews, where they encourage the children to get actively involved in their own development. They devised an innovative rotational format where youngsters move to a different station after 15 / 20 minutes from long game to chipping, then putting and so on. In their experience this helped to re-engage kids who were "switching off" from standard golf coaching programmes because they found them boring. Now you can learn their secrets in Future Golf Stars.
