‘Why do I always feel tired?’ ‘Why do my injuries not heal quickly?’ Why do I always seem to have a cold?’ ‘Believe it or not these are common problems that can haunt an athlete throughout his or her career’ says course author Simon Hartley. What’s more, a sound understanding of cutting edge sport nutrition can help to resolve these problems in a matter of weeks… and this course will show you how. It will show you much more than most sports nutrition texts and help you to understand why eating and drinking is pretty much the most important thing you do!

How Sport Nutrition gets results
This course aims to give you a broad understanding of the principles of good sports nutrition in a practical and enjoyable way. When you have worked through the course, you will:

  • Be in a position to make informed choices about the types of food that will benefit you and those that may do you harm.
  • Understand what good nutrients are and how you can incorporate them into your diet.
  • Have an understanding of the importance of eating according to your needs... not those of somebody else.
  • Understand why water is so important.
  • Know why many processed foods can prevent you from achieving optimal health or sports performance.
  • Understand how to prepare foods so that they provide the most benefit to you.

CHRIS COOK, GB Swimmer & Commonwealth Champion

Roger Spry

Chris found that he was often tired when he followed the high carbohydrate diet that he thought was ideal for an athlete. Following his analysis, we discovered that Chris was more suited to a diet that was higher in proteins and fats. As he started eating according to his personal plan, Chris began to train at a higher intensity and found that his recovery between sessions increased.

Consequently, he is able to do high quality strength work alongside his intense training in the pool.
